Tech ONTAP Podcast Episode 34 - OpenStack Summit Austin Preview.jpg

OpenStack continues to become more and more popular for deploying private and hybrid cloud at many organizations.  As the project matures and adds more features, its allure becomes more and more difficult to resist.  No more is this evident than at the semi-annual OpenStack Summit event, where attendance continues to grow at an impressive pace.  The upcoming event in Austin, April 25-29, is expected to be the largest summit to date, and NetApp will have our largest presence as well!

This week we welcome John Griffith (@jdg_8), Principle Software Engineer for NetApp, Rob Esker (@openstacknetapp), Product Manager for NetApp, Kelly Boeckman (@kellyboeckman), Product Marketing Manager for NetApp, and Brendan Wolfe (@bgwolfe), Senior Marketing Manager for NetApp.  These four represent the portfolio investment that NetApp, including SolidFire, Data ONTAP, and E-Series, has made in the OpenStack community and are with us to discuss the presence at OpenStack Summit.  NetApp’s largest OpenStack Summit presence to date includes multiple sessions, a demo theater presentation, and some fun activities scheduled for the festival Tuesday night on Rainey Street.

If you’re going to be at OpenStack Summit in Austin, be sure to stop by the booth (A38) and say hello!  Andrew, along with all of this week’s guests, will be available to chat about OpenStack, Data ONTAP, SolidFire, and the rest of the NetApp portfolio.
