In my previous blog post, I discussed the enablement journey in which we are engaging with our partners to accelerate our foray into the hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) market. I used Newton’s first law of motion to highlight the importance of taking massive action to make this change. I also outlined how partner support will unfold, beginning with building your competence to sell, install, and manage NetApp® HCI.

Psychologist Robert W. White (1904–2001) studied the coping needs of normal people and emphasized that human beings are driven by a need to be competent and effective in the world. How is competence defined? For our purposes, let’s say that competence means a group of related abilities, knowledge, and skills that enable a person to be effective in a job.

The NetApp Unified Partner Program provides access to NetApp University online HCI technical and sales training, at no cost to partners.

We’ve designed a role-based competency framework that supports the required knowledge, skills, and attributes to help you understand and sell NetApp HCI. And remember to leverage the Converged Systems Sales Incentive.

Learning and practice build competence. Feed your inner need for competence and start building your skills today with NetApp HCI enablement and education resources such as:

  • The NetApp HCI Partner Enablement and Education at-a-glance, with detailed information about courses and training about NetApp HCI
  • Fundamental positioning and solution information about NetApp HCI in the Cloud Infrastructure Sales Playbook
  • Much more information, tools, and assets about NetApp HCI and other solutions in the Converged Systems/HCI section in the Partner Enablement Guide

You love what you do. Be great at it. Martin Van Buren, the eighth president of the United States, once said, “It is easier to do a job right than to explain why you didn’t.” Be great at NetApp HCI by taking advantage of the powerful enablement opportunities provided by NetApp.
