Microsoft’s Digital Transformation Academy (DTA) 2019 is only a week away and at NetApp we are excited about connecting with our Microsoft colleagues and the top tier partners in the ecosystem who will be there.
The demand for Azure NetApp Files from customers who want to move their most demanding workloads into the public cloud sparked some great discussions and conversations at MS Ready in July and we are already getting emails from MS Sellers and partners who want to connect with us at DTA to review specific customer scenarios and architectures.
We are seeing a lot of traction in Oil & Gas, Financial Services, High Performance Computing and Education for their NFS and SMB file share workloads. Although Azure NetApp Files is not vertically aligned, it solves the file challenges for any organization who needs high speed access in the cloud – especially any Linux workload that needs to dial up or down based on seasonal or other peak performance needs.
Since the service GA’d on May 28th, clients are already moving PetaBytes of data into Azure – Meaning large ACR opportunities – especially as their physical data centers are closing to realize their cloud-first mandate. Workloads include shared file services, production applications, development environments, business continuity, analytics and more.
Spin It to Win It
Our booth at DTA will feature the popular “Spin it to Win it” challenge. It’s a time-based challenge to find the daily speed demon who can spin up an enterprise environment in Azure faster than anyone else. We had winners at MS Ready who were in the sub one-minute category. Yes. With Azure NetApp Files you really can create an enterprise-ready, tier-one, high performance file environment in less than a minute. One that is ready to take any workload from a few terabytes to multi-petabytes of data in minutes.
Where is Azure NetApp Files Available Today?
We just put the lights on in more regions including the Americas and APAC with more Azure Centers scheduled in the coming months. If you want to check out availability for your customers’ regions, Microsoft is keeping everyone updated at this link.
Stop By and Connect with Me at our Booth #104
I will be at our booth along with a whole host of Azure NetApp Files experts and can address any questions you might have about this amazing new Microsoft service. Of course, I am an Azure NetApp Files fan; but after taking a look for yourself, I’m pretty sure you will be a fan too.
See you at DTA.
