Gabriel Chapman Presenting at NetApp Insight 2017

Ever wish you could see a certain topic presented at NetApp Insight? Don’t just wish for it this year – make it happen by submitting your own session for NetApp Insight 2018 before the May 8 deadline. Maybe you’ll get picked, or at the very least, your interest could influence NetApp to focus more on your area of interest.

We asked a few of our technical track leads about the benefits of presenting at NetApp Insight, our annual technical conference where strategic IT leaders and those on the front lines of managing data and developing applications learn how to unleash the full potential of their data.

“Changing the world with data is an audacious goal,” responded Jeff Baxter, Chief Evangelist, ONTAP. “It will take each of us working hard – but more importantly – sharing that hard work with the world. NetApp Insight 2018 is the premier event for data visionaries to come together, share their work, and develop strategies for accelerating the digital transformation.”

“Presenting at NetApp Insight 2018 is a win/win for all involved,” Jeff added. “You get to give back to the overall industry by sharing your knowledge with peers, partners and the tech ecosystem. At the same time, you burnish your own credentials and gain recognition as a subject-matter expert at a major industry event.”

Chris Gebhardt, Principal Technical Marketing Engineer, Manageability Products & Solutions Group, agreed that presenting at NetApp Insight is not just about education, but also sharing experiences with attendees and learning from their successes as well.

“It’s valuable in many ways,” Chris explained. “It not only allows me share my research, publications and experiences with the attendees – but is also a great opportunity to hear what worked for them and what didn’t. It provides full-circle feedback so I can improve our solutions.”

According to Josh Atwell, Product and Solutions Marketing Lead – DevOps, Containers, and OpenStack, presenting at NetApp Insight means making an impact.

“There are too few opportunities to broadly share your valuable knowledge with our customers, partners and peers,” he explained. “We often take for granted what we know about our products and their capabilities. All it takes is that one piece of missing information to transform someone’s perspective or awareness and make Insight worth returning to year after year. You can have that impact.”

Josh summarized his thoughts with a haiku:

“You have the knowledge.

Our customers have the need.

Share it at Insight!”
