The dictionary defines visionary as “thinking about or planning the future with imagination or wisdom.” Recently, Gartner published its Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage. Based on ability to execute, and completeness of vision, NetApp was named a Leader.
The Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage replaces two previous Magic Quadrants – the Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays and the Magic Quadrant for General-Purpose Storage Arrays – thus acknowledging that all-flash is no longer a novelty. Gartner first recognized NetApp in 2013 as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for General-Purpose Disk Arrays, and we have remained in the Leaders quadrant now for six consecutive years. Since 2016, NetApp has also been a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays. We believe, our position on the Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage isn’t just a one-time honor; it’s part of an established pattern of excellence.
More Data Than Stars Means More Revenue
NetApp is leading a market that is continuing to expand. By 2026, spending on global storage, including enterprise traditional storage, enterprise, cloud true private cloud and hyperscale server SAN, is predicted to reach $59 million. As data becomes increasingly more plentiful and more profitable for businesses, it’s not surprising that data storage spending is also on the rise.
The World Economic Forum expects the entire digital universe to reach 44 zettabytes by 2020. If that number is accurate, it will mean there are 40 times more bytes of data than there are stars in the observable universe. More data than stars means even more revenue possibilities for our partner channel.
At NetApp, we want to empower our partners to help customers simplify their data management in hybrid multi-cloud environments and make better data-driven decisions by ensuring businesses deliver their application data to the right place, at the right time. Our data fabric strategy has helped push us to be Leaders Gartner’s Quadrant, and our continuous innovation keeps us there.
NetApp, as a visionary company, doesn’t just plan for the future; we plan how we can be the future.
Thank you to all our valued partners who make this success happen, who trust our wisdom, and inspire our imagination. Follow this link to get the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage report and learn more about how NetApp earned that coveted quadrant corner office.
