There are only a few days left as we get ready for NetApp Insight in Berlin! In addition to the great keynotes, breakout sessions, hands-on labs and certification opportunities, there are a few fun social activities we’ve got planned as well.

The Social Media Hub

The Social Media hub is located just inside the entry to Insight Central.  The lounge will include our social media listening screens which will display our social media feeds and leaderboard for the top social participants at #NetAppInsight.  Share a social update to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and you may see your name and social handle up on the 65” screens in the hub!

There will be a digital photo booth where you can take some fun photos with cool props that you can share with friends and on your own social media networks.

Meet the NetApp A-Team

The social media hub is also a gathering spot where you can connect and chat with members of the NetApp A-Team and the NetApp social media team.  You can also meet with the A-Team at the Tech Elite Meet (the new name for Greet and Geek) networking event on Wednesday, November 15. Check out the sessions that will feature the NetApp A-Team.

Rise Against Hunger Twitter Challenge

In the spirit of giving back, we invite you to participate. It is easy to participate: simply send a tweet with either the @NetAppInsight Twitter handle or the #NetAppInsight hashtag.  For every tweet sent, we will donate $1 (USD) to support Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by the year 2030. Help us reach our goal of $7,000 during our four-day conference.

Table Football Tournament

Or is it Foozball? Table Soccer? Ah, no matter what you call it–be sure to stop by the Social Media Hub on Wednesday, November 15 from 12PM to 2PM for our NetApp Insight Table Football Tournament.  Practice and polish your skills at the tables inside Insight Central during expo hours. We’ve got some great prizes lined up for our winners along with bragging rights for 2018!

Fantastic Social Media Contests

We have several contests you can participate this week!  The first is our #StepsChallenge.  Screen capture your daily steps from your pedometer, fitness tracker [e.g., Apple Watch, FitBit, Garmin] or smart phone app for iOS or Android during Insight in Berlin (November 13-15, 2017). The rules are simple:

  1. Tweet your steps image! Include the hashtags #NetAppInsight and #StepsChallenge.  Entries that do not include both hashtags will not be considered valid. Note: Only one account per individual can be used to enter the contest. You must have a valid Insight badge to participate.
  2. Each tweet is an entry in the random drawing held on Thursday morning, November 16. You need not be present to win, as winners will be contacted via social media.

Our second contest is for the “Social User of the Day.” You only need to share a social media update on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using the #NetAppInsight hashtag to automatically be entered in this drawing.  At the end of each day, we will select a daily winner and award prizes.

But it doesn’t stop there—we will be giving some on the spot prizes to a few lucky attendees.  Wear your NetApp gear and if you’re spotted by our social media team, you may win a gift card.

Get Ready to Explore Berlin!

The NetApp Insight 2017 Berlin party is traveling underground this year to the STATION-Berlin, a historic landmark in the heart of Germany’s capital city. This year, the Attendee Appreciation Party will be held on Wednesday, November 15.  Be sure to bring your Insight attendee badge to get into the party. Take the U-Bahn for the full experience.

Rock out with The RPJ Band and DJ Connect!  We will be sharing all the party details via our social media channels and want to see your pics. Share them on social media and tag #NetAppInsight.  You could be featured on our upcoming social media albums from this legendary party!
